Anybody else glad they didn't review that last interception?

Jan 6, 2014, 10:14 AM

I know the "head of officials" said that it wouldn't have been overturned, but I'm sure glad they didn't take a look at it!!! Way to much movement of the ball for my comfort. Anybody have a gif of it?

I agree with you 100%

Every play is reviewed. They obviously saw nothing that

Jan 6, 2014, 10:18 AM

would overturn the call on the field.

I think the refs seem to be less likely to stop play at the end. They review very play quickly. Ball State receiver looked like he had the pass going out of bounds before the one they caught. That was an SEC crew.

It was a solid interception...perfect...no reason in the world to overturn anything...no reason to even discuss it...a great play

I was shocked on the replay. couldnt believe how much it was moving around. of course he had it when he went to ground and started rolling. but Mr biased ref in the booth wasnt wanting to overturn so it must have been fine

I was shocked as well...in real time it looked very clean.

Jan 6, 2014, 10:23 AM

They had plenty of time to stop play to take another look...I'm just glad they didn't. Every time I saw the replay afterwards, I kept hoping that somehow he holds it just a bit longer. lol

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It was close but it did signal to me

Jan 6, 2014, 10:26 AM

that the refs were not paid off for OSU.

For how bad they were that thought crossed my mind. But it just turns out they really suck.

He had the ball cradled against his abdomen

Jan 6, 2014, 10:25 AM

when he rolled over on to his back and would have been ruled down. It was a good pick that would not have been overturned.

Watching it live it was clear that he caught it. On the

Jan 6, 2014, 10:27 AM

replay it looked like he might have been bobbling it when his back was to the camera, but I don't think that he was.

Either way, with all of the BS that went OSUs way all night, I didn't feel bad about them not reviewing the INT

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Looked like he was switching hands to get up

Jan 6, 2014, 11:09 AM

As the official-commentator guy they had on the broadcast said, at some point he had possession of that ball.

Right. I mean if it was me, and I had athletic ability,

Jan 6, 2014, 11:16 AM

and I caught the game winning INT at the Orange Bowl, you'd have to pry that ball out of my hands with the jaws of life, lol.

But it did look like he caught it, then got up, and just let the ball drop

LOL...Coot...They review EVERY play in college football

Jan 6, 2014, 10:34 AM

They just don't take an official timeout for every play that you think should be reviewed.

Jan 6, 2014, 11:13 AM

If not for 16 penalties for 144 yards, it doesn't even come down to that play. Either way, I though he controlled it long enough on the ground to stand as called. It was almost like he was so excited to get up and celebrate after the roll he just dropped it. Done deal either way.
