Dec 7, 2015, 10:14 PM

for the Championship game but it looks like all Hotels within 10 miles of the
stadium are booked up. Any suggestions of places to stay?

Wild Horse Pass Casino and Resort. Stayed there in March for work. 30-40 minute drive but can gamble a little and nice rooms

Stay downtown.....

...many neat areas in Phoenix. Believe it or not a place called the Wigwam Resort is fabulous. On the historic places list. The area at the stadium is a huge entertainment complex. LOTS of restaurants and bars. Find a cheap room and drive out there early afternoon. You won't get bored.

pretty sure all that's in Glendale is the stadium. LOL

You likely want to stay in Phoenix or one of the surrounding towns (Tempe, Mesa, Scottsdale). a 20-30 minute drive, but worth it to be closer to stuff.

I went to the Florida vs. OSU BCS national title game in 2007 in Glendale

Assuming we beat OU...a large task.
Unless you're just doing a quick in and out....I would stay in Scottsdale which from my memory is about a half an hour trip east down the interstate. I'm sure Glendale is more developed now, but when I went to the game the stadium was only about a year old and in the middle of the desert valley with mountains in the distance. Much more to do in the Scottsdale - Tempe area as far as restaurants and activities. I also remember most of the bowl activities (bowl sponsored and school/alumni sponsored) also being in the Scottsdale Tempe area.

I live in Sedona...1 1/2 hours from Glendale. I suggest staying in Peoria (close to the stadium with great shopping). I would also suggest staying in Scottsdale. It is very "uptown", but it is a great place and you can also see where the MLB Cactus league plays. Just an FYI..Metro Phoenix is HUGE, but you can get to Glendale in about 30-40 minutes from anywhere in the city. So, you could stay as far out as Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, or Gilbert and save a lot of money on your hotel. If you don't mind driving in...I suggest Sedona...It is AMAZING and a quick drive down I-17. There is nothing like the place...believe, I live here! :)

Sedona is one of the most amazing places I have ever seen. The landscape is beyond beautiful. Recommend it to any Tigers traveling to Glendale. Take time for a road trip. Well worth the time.

Was there on business last New Year's Eve on the day of the Fiesta Bowl and stayed at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. It was the Arizona team hotel and it only cost me $122/night through Priceline. Lots to do around Scottsdale and it's a nice area. Was very unimpressed with the Glendale area. I'd recommend the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
