AnyONE RVing to Game..

Aug 26, 2018, 4:14 PM

* In what type of rig (RV, 5th Wheel, Camper Van, Travel Trailer, etc).

* Where will you park?

* How many years doing this?

* Know anyone that rented or bought lot in the new Pendleton RV Park?

* Do you invite Friends over?

What say you TiGER RV’ers!

Have they started on the softball field yet?

I know that this will definitely affect the RV parking behind DKS.

I have been RVing to Clemson games for 6-7 years in my motorhome with the wife and 4 kids. I park in the MH lot in Jervey Meadows. My brother-in-law has the space next to mine and we usually put on a pretty good spread for our family and friends. I have two other brothers that both have 5th wheels, but they usually stay at Twin Lakes and come tailgate with us on game day.

I don't know much about the new Clemson RV park at the Grove in Pendleton. They claim to have 400 sites. I was in Clemson in July and rode by to take a look. Didn't see much except some dirt movers in a field. Maybe they made a lot of progress since then.

RV parking is down to 200 spots in Jervey Meadows. And it is expected to decrease further next year due to softball stadium. The minimum IPTAY level went up last year to the McFadden level in order to qualify for an RV spot. I also heard that Y-Beach is no longer going to allow RVs.

Tailgating in an RV, overnighting Friday and Saturday nights on campus, waking up in view of Memorial Stadium on Saturday morning, not having to deal with traffic after the game, having your own bathroom, air conditioning, shower, TV, generator, Keurig, and all of the conveniences of home... makes it a difficult experience to beat. I hope I never have to go back to the old way. ;)

Some of my best game experiences were in the motor home. Staying through until Sunday morning

My father has a 40' Mountain Are he has never really used and has just given me the go ahead for the family snd I to use to for the games of we want to. A few years back we were goig to do it and the tickets for parking were fairly reasonable. however, I have been told the RV parking pass has become almost unaffordable. Can you give me some insight on this?
