If I donate $120 a year to TiGER Band, will some of you too?

Oct 9, 2012, 3:11 PM

so we can offer more partial shollies...maybe have a better quality sounding group due to more members..new unis..see different formations (high stepping, running around, etc)..maybe even having a tall male drum major leading the way with a high step like the one Illinois had at bowl in Tampa..etc,

Just saying, I love TiGER Band but want even more for & from them. What do you say? We can donate to CUTBA.com

Let's do it fellow TigerNetters...and GoTiGERs!

^^^^
Do band members that transfer have to sit out a year? I've got a source that says some of their band members have some free time on their hands.

Oct 9, 2012, 3:54 PM

it finally hit me last weekend, I was in the student section and was having an easier time hearing the GT band than I was hearing Tiger Band. That's just embrassing when you get shown up in your own stadium by the opposing band.

Part of the problem is Tiger Band's location in DV.

The WEZ acts as an amplifier.

There's something in these hills.

The acoustics in the West End of the stadium allows the

sound to be projected out. The OPEN Northeast section is a recipe for projecting the sound up.

Also, GT has a bigger band. But a relocation would of the Tiger Band would help.

Sound level depends on where you sit. I can't hear much

The GT band had 10 large Xylophones (or whatever they're called) that they rolled off after the halftime show. I didn't even see one in our band.

Tiger Band does not have a front ensemble.

Oct 9, 2012, 9:59 PM

And they don't need one. They need more low brass players.

So...what do we do to help TiGER Band become better?!

Oct 9, 2012, 11:11 PM

Money donations are #1 for sure so to give more partial schollies, get new unis, etc....BUT, do you have any other ideas?!

Remember to donate to CUTBA (Clemson Univ Tiger Band Assoc).

Clemson needs a music major

Oct 10, 2012, 5:28 PM

That will attract more students. Bottom line: Tiger Band needs more members.

Any reason IPTAY can't cover band costs?

Oct 10, 2012, 7:22 PM

It's not like our booster is hurting for money here. I can't be the only one who thinks that having a large and voluminous band is important. Surely they could foot the bill for some schollies
