Any of you's have a TSA pass?

May 20, 2016, 11:40 AM

How long does it take to get clearance? How much does it cost?

I've got to fly out of O'hare and it sounds like a horrible place to be right now.

Yes. $85, lasts five years. Takes about 2-3 weeks.

May 20, 2016, 11:43 AM

Don't do it...you'll hate it. If you do get one, don't tell anyone else how awesome it is.

Cool thanks! Wish i had known about this a few months ago. I don't think I'll get it in time for my trip to Chicago.

Heck, considering canceling my flight back and just getting a rental and driving.

Finally got through to a human robot at TSA... no chance

May 20, 2016, 12:03 PM

To get this done before my trip.

I think I'll pursue this before my next trip though. Those cots don't look to comfy.

Best money ever spent. I literally can show up at the airport 30-45 before my flight. If you have airline status and TSA Pre, dude you are rolling and never have to spend time with the commoners

Nice! That sounds so sweet. I will not be able to get it processed quick enough for this trip, but when I get back I'm getting it done.

I'm putting a sleeping pad in my carry on.

May 20, 2016, 12:08 PM

I'm not looking forward to this sales meeting in Chicago, nor O'hare.

One of the guys on my team flew out of O'hare on Tuesday

May 20, 2016, 12:10 PM

Said he walked right in and didn't have any problems. He said it was Midway that was having issues.

I fly into Chicago every two weeks and Midway is the way to go. Screw O'Harey balls.

Also saves you from other hassles...

May 20, 2016, 12:19 PM

Don't have to remove shoes or jackets, usually don't have to take laptops out of bags, etc. Best part, mine is free because I'm DoD and already cleared.

So, that one helps on international flight as well as domestic?
If so, man that's the way to go!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Customs on US re-entry is greatly expedited. Those lines

May 20, 2016, 12:34 PM

SUCK sometimes. And it's only $15 more than TSA Pre by itself.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

May 20, 2016, 12:34 PM

How many hours would you all advice me to arrive before 10:30, 2, 2/12, or 3?

Cab question... The company has worked out fair

May 20, 2016, 12:36 PM

between the airport and hotel for $34 each way. Would you still tip and how much? This part is new ground for me!

You should still tip. If the company doesn't cover it, start
