To be considered a total success. Until then they are just the tallest midget in one of the worst divisions in the NFL. However they are hot right now and if they take down the saints or the 49ers in the playoffs that will certainly change my perception.

true but it didnt work out so well. I think when that happened Al Davis was a shell of his former self. Otherwise I dont think he would have hired Kiff

I'm sure he's happy, but he has interviewed for head coaching jobs. Seems unlikely he would stay if the right opportunity presents itself elsewhere.
