SCDPS: Woman arrested at statehouse after jumping monument fence
COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The South Carolina Department of Public Safety said one person was arrested on statehouse grounds on Friday.
SCDPS said a woman walked up to the fence surrounding the Confederate flag while carrying a large poster board around 11:56 p.m. on Friday night. The woman was preparing to tape her poster to the fence.
The SCDPS said the poster contained references to a biblical passage and the Pledge of Allegiance. When officers advised her that she could not tape anything to the fence or monument, she climbed over the fence and was then arrested.
Officers with SCDPS charged Melissa High, of Whitsett, NC with defacing a monument and carying a dangerous weapon on capitol grounds after officers found a fixed-blade knife in her bag.

What's your problem with the NC folks? They have the cajones to do what you cracker ### racists won't do get rid of the confederate flag and stop living in the past. As a Clemson grad the one thing I did not like was the lack of diversity at Clemson and when I go to games I look at the current student body and see a group of students that are cookie cutter clones of each other and will never succeed in the work force unless they work with their kind.

I don't have a problem with N.C. Folks My Dad is from N.C.
But the woman broke the Law.....Just like the other woman did.

Sounds like you are the one living in the past. By your own free will you chose to attend Clemson University and felt like it was the right thing for you to do for one reason or another. Since so many people claim to be offended by the Confederate battle flag, why not replace it with the "Bonnie Blue Flag" which was the official flag of the Confederate States of America. We could still celebrate our Southern heritage and 99% of the protesters and dammed (sic) Yankees wouldn't even know what it was.

Why not just keep the "Southern Pride" stuff to private property, and fly the American flag at the statehouse?
