lawrence should never be called to run unless he has to scrambling..with our rbs run the ball and then allow him to pick them apart with his arm

I never liked the whole ZR packages when he was in there. I was fearing the worst and voila, it happened.

But if we are going to continue running the zone read play, we should just get rid of the read part and give it to the RB every time. If we only run it a couple times per game it will still be beneficial to our offense, but we can just pre-select that the RB is going to get the ball.

TL didn’t get hurt on a ZR. He was hurt on a passing play. I’m not sure if that’s what you thought or if you were just making the statement. Probably the latter.
On that note, TL should have thrown that ball away. He was outside the pocket and had zero chance of picking up the first down. I understand being competitive and I admire his heart, but you have to play smart.
