Championship Celebration

Jan 15, 2020, 8:23 AM

First, LSU deserved the win. They came to play with stud players. Everyone was as advertised athletically.

I'm not typically one to criticize, especially after a loss to seem like a sore loser. However, the celebration after the Championship win just didn't sit well with me. Between the money (fake or real) being handed out, the stogies being smoked, the NFL players invading; it just didn't seem like they were "College Athletes" anymore.

I'm only 37, but that's old enough to consider these players kids - in college. I just love seeing coaches celebrate with their kids and kids enjoying the fun of a win. The dancing is great. This one just seemed to be about money, fame, and self-indulgence.

I get it. Times are changing. But, I just enjoyed watching good ole fashioned dancing and celebrating when we won.

Congrats LSU - Moving on to 2020 for the good guys.

And then there was the "celebration" on Poydras St.

Never heard so many "F-Clemson" epithets shouted by a bunch of drunks... AFTER they had won the game. All I can say is, "way to represent your school and city." Try to develop a little class.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone...

who has been around LSU fans before.

It was just as bad after the 2012 Peach Bowl. Apparently, their fans are pretty classless in victory and defeat.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Combine LSU/SEC homerism/New Orleans/alcohol you get that***

My son and his friend had LSU fans spitting at them AFTER the game. Thankfully, he had enough common sense (and not enough alcohol) to keep walking. That POS better be glad I wasn't there. Nothing worse than an angry mama!!

Who doesn't love getting fake money?

Jan 15, 2020, 8:28 AM

When will we get the report of LSU players trying to spend the fake money?

There's something in these hills.

Hope we get to play them in the Rose Bowl next year!--( Not the Sugar again.)

I will say this again, and I know you are aware...

but life has a way of catching up with the proud.

All we can do is handle our business.

Not everybody can be Clemson; Doing things the Right Way is

Jan 15, 2020, 8:53 AM

usually harder to pull off. LSU had a great team, with a great QB....this year. They're losing 30 seniors after....this year... They'll be back to normal next year. Good for them tho they capitalized while the iron was hot. But they'll be back to third in their division next year.

Our leadership is just different. They do things in a way that focuses on building character by emphasizing doing life the right way which produces good citizens. Not a perfect citizen but one that has longevity and sustainability in this world. They wouldn't let questionable figures come in and poke holes in the ship like the LSU program and many other would allow. Other programs LSU are here today but probably gone tomorrow.

Probably sounds haughty and high and mighty but just know we are in good hands with Dabo and Co.
