That is because unlike left-wing SCOTUSes who vote mostly, largely, on a partisan basis and have no personal convictions about the Constitution, the justices appointed by the right are independent and make up their own mind based on facts as they see them.

justices in relation to the constitution would side against a state making their own decisions concerning their election laws, along a strictly partisan line at that. Not sure how that computes with this strict constitutionalist argument I keep hearing pushed lately.
