Dylan high school is known for poor grades. Not sure if this pertains to the situation but is a strong possibility . Also , the level of talent being that they are 2a is pretty low.

It's Dillon High and yes academics would probably be the major reason. Derrick Hamilton came from there, so I think talent level is just fine.

they have that many good players coming out in two years. I think our last good one, from there, was Derrick Hamilton.

We have Goodson from 1A Lamar so maybe you should rethink. Dillon has a fine fb program and sends players to FBS teams yearly.

Dillon would beat half if not 3/4 of the 4a programs in the state I think I would take dillon over Riverside, Hillcrest, Woodmont, etc. Dillon would probably beat every school in Greenville County

Dillon had 5 lineman over 300 pounds last year. Park was the best lineman in the state and King was very solid. Another is going to East Carolina and a RB looks headed to Wofford
I would estimate Dillon has put 15 to 20 players in d1 schools over the past 10 years and probably another 20 or so in Div 1aa
Wofford has done very well with players from Dillon over the years
Dillon also had 2 students go to Ivy Leagues last year so someone from there is obviously not making bad grades

Carolina brought in Kwinton Smith this past fall and D.J. Park this month (as an early enrollee). So, I suspect that grades is not an issue here either. In addition to the schools, in the article, offering Blue, he was also offered by Alabama, Tennessee, Southern Cal, LSU, and Georgia. So, I know that "talent" is not an issue.

I doubt grades was an issue. He had offers from Va Tech and Ga Tech as well to go along with his offers from So Cal, Florida, Alabama, LSU, and South Carolina.
Dillon has been sending a fistful of guys to South Carolina recently; K Smith, DJ Park, B King. He probably like the thought of playing close to home and with his friends from his HS team.

I'm sure that most who post about the school know very little besides the championships . My cousin who played for central highschool 3 or 4 years ago ( they lost to dillon in the championship his sophmore and junior year but beat them his senior year)explained why they are good Every year. It is to no surprise that people in that area have been informed that the headmaster of dillon highschool lies about their enrollment every year to keep them in 2a so that they can continue to win . It sad that it happens in highschool but there is always going to be cheating somewhere.

Bull dookey
The numbers for alignment and classification used by the SC high school league come from the state department of education. They are the same numbers used for federal and state findings and for student allocations
The number is an average attendance at school over a 45 the. 135 day period. No one in the school reports numbers and says we are AA. The numbers are used for legal and state and federal compliance and funding
There is absolutely ZERO way that Dillon or anyone else cheats on enrollment numbers to affect their classification NO WAY AT ALL
You are sorely misinformed

Didnt recruit him bc sc ties to dillon are so strong. This commitment was only a matter of time, no need for dabo to waste resources. This is the same as sc not recruiting boulware, great player and always been a tiger lean
Dillon has a great program that has shot up ftom 2a to 3a and can play with most 4a teams. 2016 qb mccall that led dillon to a state championship as a freshman will be another nice pick up from sc. Dillon is a pipeline school for sc like dorman is for clemson.

Talks like they are good folks and he's a great guy. I met him once and he was friendly, courteous, well mannered, a little quiet. Beleive it or not, nice guys do go to SC. He visited Clemson last summer while camps were going on. Seems SC has strong ties to that school and the Rock Hill area kind of like Clemson does with Dorman, Hanna, etc.

I live 10 minutes from Dillon and have seen a few games. He might be nice but i honestly don't know if he could spell Gamecocks. Not very quick either, just bulky.
