And sometimes we forget other things in the news. How about our good Christian president, chosen by God, of course, and his kids defrauding and taking money from a children's cancer charity?
I'm sure it was posted before, but we've had so many people here defending him and his family's every move, and those who call him God's chosen man, a good Christian, etc... I dunno. I'd like to hear more input.
I've included Trump defense responses in multiple choice to help y'all answer easier.

However, I can save you a lot of time because I hear it from a bunch of conservatives all the time.
They think he's a horrible human being, but he's accomplishing the governmental things they want.

I don't think many people are that caught up in the impeachment. Why does it really matter for the basic person? It will be in trivia for future generations, but it's not changing anything for anyone alive now. It's not like he is leaving office.

so I don't know if your poast applies to me, but for me it all goes back to this: We had a choice between Trump and Hillary - that was it, and I have no regrets. It's no more complicated than that, and most Trump voters I know feel exactly the same way.

I don't fault people who held their nose and voted for Trump. It was a #### choice. ###### if you do, ###### if you don't.
I fault those who continue to defend him and support him at all costs, whether it's because they actually adore him as a leader or they feel they have to do it to justify their 2016 choice.
Everyone knows that you can stop defending him and recognize him as a terrible president and person after the election is over, right?

He is what I'd call a good president who looks after America's best interest first, his family second and his political aspirations behind that somewhere.
We all have faults. Trump has more than a fair share but that's not really what bothers you, Cat. Your problem is that the voice of the democrat party has been jacked by some extremely radical people which makes half of American scared of what will happen next.
At this time Nancy isn't leading the democrat party. She's out front and she has a fateful choice, either march to the beat of the drums behind her or get run over. Your party is marching off a cliff right now and you know it. Look at your candidates.
Two of the most prominent and leading in the polls proclaim themselves to be socialist. The one who is out front in the polls has washed out of two POTUS runs already. Even Hillary who just served up rump to Trump's campaign in 2016 would be your front runner if she entered the race today.
I'm not trying to hurt you, I'm not attacking you. I'm defending your hate for Trump by excusing it as a displaced emotion which, if properly directed would be at the democrat party.
Somehow you think that if you talk enough chit about Trump you can make people vote against him. It might work but not when your best offering for an opponent is Joe, Bernie, Liz or Hillary.
Yes, I know dem isn't your party but that's what it looks like with your constant display of hatred for Trump.

Trump has always put himself and his family first, and he shows that with his actions daily. He does not care about putting America first. This has been a power play for him from the beginning.

The nimblest argument I've heard advanced is that Trump is essentially King David - a wicked man who has been moved by God and is ultimately doing God's work.
Mind, I'm not sure exactly why God wouldn't send a godly man to do His work, but hey, I'm just a garden-variety fence-sitting apostate chucking peanuts at both sides, so I don't get a vote. But I'll comment anyway because that's what I do.

This isn't about God designing or ordaining any American POTUS, imo.
It's about God knowing it would happen which from our human perspective fits the definition of predestination.

Seems like it would be pretty easy to denounce any politician and his family (all caught up in our executive branch) who would defraud a children's cancer charity, but I guess that's what we have now.
