I waited till after I rewatched the game to be sure I saw what I thought I saw,but those dang SEC Refs sure were general with the spotting of the ball for one team and a little stingy spotting the ball for the other team

Sure it did... it padded their stats. 117 total yards.

I certainly saw this too.... On the first TD drive, I believe the head ref noticed what the line judge was doing. It was on a 3rd and short in the red zone. The head ref came in and signaled 1st down right away. The "line judge" was clearly trying to make us short! Going against the luckiest team in the history of lucky teams, they don't need the additional assistance. VERY glad it didn't matter!
Go Tigers!!!

I posted about the spots, during the game. AU was getting generous spots from the first drive on. Then I would see the official stand on the line and place the ball backwards behind that spot by a yard or more when we were on offense.
During AU's first drive I was sure they were going to review the spot when Gus called time out. Nope, that did not happen.
Makes me want us to do like UGA did under Mark Richt and not let the visiting teams bring their officials into our house.

occasion. The Coots would never have won 5 in a row without their help in DV.

Yep. SEC refs are all crooks. Bad calls allowed Auburn to score first field goal and maybe the second, though Ray Ray's fumble was a close call it should never have been called a fumble in the first place. And absolutely no question chickens would not have won in 12 with anything near fair officiating, it was so shameful it was hard to believe officials would make such calls knowing film would be preserved. The tactical question is whether to allow it when we are in DV or in opposing stadiums, where we are likely more vulnerable. SEC refereeing is not going to magically become fair, it is going to stay rigged.
