His last season on our BB team surely wasn't worth any allegations of any suspicious activity concerning our BB program. I've always believed through out my life, if you can't do it the right way (in this case, by the rules) it just isn't worth doing at all. IMO, if you have to cheat to win, you're still a loser the way I see it!!!!

I wouldn't say the coaches were trying to cheat with this one.

school) can be responsible for players accepting money in their final year. Especially this. $1100? You can barely feed the basketball team at Burger King with that. Now fake degrees and classes. That’s something that gets the hammer dropped on you, right?

I'm not sure either, based on the article the agent bought

meals for Bgame and his family and also bought a plane ticket for a "mentor." If this was done shortly after the season was over I'm not sure what knowledge the coaching staff had of what he was doing.
I guess they have to levy penalties on a school because they can't on the player as they're gone? It doesn't make much sense to me.
What I love with the whole UNC/fake classes thing, is the argument was the NCAA had no academic jurisdiction but the NCAA can make a player ineligible for grades.

Brownell just can't catch a break.

Keeping Blossongame seemed like the only really good fortune he's had... now that turns out to be the opposite.
Hope this doesn't ruin the end of what has been an amazing season.

Please make sure to investigate this thoroughly. We wouldn’t want things like foreign and domestic terroism and school shootings to distract you and divert resources.
We paid that for one semesters worth of books.

Considering the extent of all of this, I'm fine with investigations. And the FBI has some 35k employees, so they should have a few to spare. And unlike the NCAA, I trust the FBI to actually do a thorough review.

This is a directive of the FBI. Investigating bribes and kickbacks.

Please keep up the good work. Please dedicate more resources to this heinous crime (one semesters worth of books) and don’t get distracted with stuff like terroism and school shootings. I guess that’s not as sexy of a case like going after BB coaches.

a player receiving some meals and a plane ticket. Even in the cases of those players that received several thousand in cash, it's not unreasonable to think the agent loaned or gave them money on the promise said agent would become their agent after they get out of school, and still the school may not have had knowledge of that.
If it can't be shown that the school had knowledge, the school or coach should not be punished.
However, I'm sure there will be more instances like Arizona, and in those, Sean Miller and others should have the hammer dropped on them.
