looks like I'll be getting a Macbook Pro for work. The "High performance" pc the company has approved is half as powerful. I have the option of specing my own, but it will take much longer and odds of it getting shot down are greater.

I guess I should buy apple stickers for my car?

That sucks, sorry.***

Yep, not looking forward to it.

I use one for my church (av stuff) and I'm just not a fan. Oh well, it beats the 32 bit version of Windows 7 that the pc option gives me.

I travel a good bit, so I went with Dell mobile workstation

Mar 11, 2013, 2:13 PM

I'm running NVidia Quadro 3000M

not the best anymore, but still kicking. I do a good bit of high calc renders as well - and it manages very well for a laptop.

It's effin huge though. And gets about hot enough to burn ya. But, I like it

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yea, I'm on the Dell M4500 with Quadro FX 880M...

I've been there. Had a powerful desktop (at the time) and my mobile/travel unit was a POS.

I have a Mac airbook that I like using.

Mar 11, 2013, 5:39 PM

I mean, i like carrying it. Thats the only real reason i have it--because ita easy to carry in airports and on a plane.

I use Windows 7 in a Fusion VM for doing pretty much anything I need to do work related.
