Sorry, but who is Perry Noble?
Apr 20, 2014, 9:20 AM

I never heard of him until this week, but everyone else here seems to know him very well.
All I know is he has a perfect name for a Canadian Mountie, one of the Three Musketeers, or the alter ego of a Super Friend.
No offense intended, but was his name already Perry Noble before he was a superpastor, or is that a nom de plume?
Please don't land blast me; my name is Dekle and I am getting ready for Easter Sunday service, so I live in both of the same glass houses that Mr. Noble does. Just curious.

for Newspring Church based in Anderson. It's a mega church which has some controversy as far as doctrine it teaches but hey I've been there and it's just too loud and he jokes a lot which I don't like on the pulpit.

I'm 26 and yet all the lights and music still don't really appeal to me that much and his raw/rough style of preaching isn't appealing either. BUT, if he brings people to Christ I can't argue. To each his own.

Perry Noble is a very rich pastor. If Jesus came back tomorrow and met Perry Noble, Jesus would probably not be able to stop throwing up.

for a rich man to pass through the gates of heaven than for a camel to pass through an eye of a needle. this is impossible right? NO. the eye of a needle was referenced to the entrance to towns back in the Bible days. Meaning, the camel would have to kneel down and lower itself (humility), take all the bags off the camel (getting rid of worldly pleasures), to get through the "eye of the needle."
Point is. I see nothing but confidence, arrogance and no humility in this man. But I am not his judge. just reporting what I've seen.

Actually, I would think Jesus

Would probably thank Perry for spreading the word and leading people to him. 50,000 people attend a Newspring campus each week and another 50,000+ watch the service online. While Perry is wealthy, a lot of that is due to his wife being a doctor. Also, if you'll notice most people with money don't need God , because money becomes their God. If you thought before you spoke, and had ever read Jesus's words, you would know that Jesus would be more likely puke after meeting someone who bashed and misspoke about his disiples than someone who did his work. You are offensive and I hope one day you get saved buddy. The arrogance comes from the fact that tons of people like you are always trying to bash, correct, or just plain complain about what Newspring does or what Perry says. The fact that he doesn't listen to what 2,000 people think about him, and just does what he does---- leading people to God is amazing.

And constantly pushes that they should tithe, which is just an archaic Catholic Church method of making people think they can buy their way into heaven. The only time Jesus mentioned tithing was to reprimand the Pharisees.
But hey, it's a good business scheme.

Sounds like you are under the spell and can't really see what's going on. One day the truth will come out and there will be a lot of people let down by PN. Hope they follow God and not PN.

When I pop in every day or every other day, so many threads are still about this topic that I might have to go a few pages deep to find some interesting football topic I hadn't read yet. A little frustrating. Why not post in The Amphitheater?

Tnet, I was led to believe that he was the pastor of a large church that, probably, funneled money to a Mid East terrorist organization. Now, I learn, yesterday, that he funds youth orgies and pays for abortions. I wish that these people would get it right. Better yet, lay off the man. This reminds me of the lyrics of an old song----"unless you have made no mistakes of your own, be careful of the stones that you throw.'

Pastor Perry Noble

Perry is a great man of God. He is humble and very genuine! Perry has helped lead thousands of people to follow Jesus Christ including myself. I am not sure why folks get on message boards behind computer screens and bash people they do not know (this is aimed towards the ones who did). Well, i kind of do, ignorance. However, You should come to Newspring and visit sometime and see what the church and the man is about. No perfect people allowed. Derrick Dorsey I love my church!

The fact that members constantly use "I love my church" is one of the biggest things that's scary about it. One shouldn't love a church. Sometimes I'm not sure if they're worshipping a church or God.

Lol stereotype much?
No people shouldn't love their church. Churches are man made establishments. I hear newspringers talking more about their love for their church and defending their church than they do of their love for God and spreading the gospel.
They constantly push people to come to their church rather than invite God into their hearts period or to go to any church. The person who accepts Jesus on the side of the road in their car will be in heaven along with all the saved newspringers. One doesn't have to love a church or attend one to inherit the promise.

haha probably that...I honestly don't know enough about it to give a definitive opinion. There are three things I've seen so far about the church which make me skeptical:
1. A very unflattering article about church members harassing someone to a horrible extent for criticizing the church.
2. Perry Noble's serial killer/rapist eyes.
3. All the members on this board emphatically telling everyone here they "love their church!!".
None of those three things tell me Newspring Church is something good.

I remember when Dr. Billy Graham was very sick a couple years ago and the bashing of this wonderful man of God was unbelievable! I will say this though...haters don't just pick on a certain group of people. Go to any thread about Miley Cyrus, Lebron James or Tom Brady. The hate filled comments just flow simply because they can. Social media brings out the worst in people. I don't get it and hopefully never will. :-/

Billy and Richard having a conversation. Just saying:
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/religion/2009-06-24-graham-tapes_N.htm
"An earlier release of tapes in 2002 shocked fans of Graham, who is heard agreeing with Nixon as the president rails against liberal Jews' political activism and media clout. Graham tells Nixon how Jews befriend him but adds, "They don't know how I really feel about what they're doing to this country."
