Obviously the "experts" seem to see somthing in him .
He was one of my favorite Clemson quarterbacks, smart and with a good arm.
He was never quite the same after injuring his shoulder diving into the endzone.

One helluva lot more than I've made in a lifetime. Short of being a prime DH in baseball, nothing can beat a career as a back-up QB. He'll have a life after football and a nice bank account. The starters in the HOF will be lucky to walk to their bank...if they can remember where it is!

Good for him .
As I said, I have allways liked him and his play.
I WOULD like to see him have some success on the field, however brief. Then ride of into the sunset (or the bank ) !

that Charlie earned most of that in California. So, take home was probably $25,000.00.

I know Im going to get called a coot for this one, but are yall really comparing a 10-15 yr backup to Clowney? Number 1 draft pick that got hurt and sat out 1 season. Lets see how Clowney does healthy before you strt calling him a bust. All of yall deep down know that Clowney is a beast and beside JJ Watt they could be deadly. I always liked the chicken assassin Whitehurst and hoped he would do good in the NFL, but I dont think he really strives to be a starter. He seems to be perfectly happy holding down the clipboard.
