championship, it takes having decent talent, no crucial bad calls, LUCK, and no key injuries. We averaged playing 72.5 players a game this year...unheard of, but this also lessened the chances of our key players getting injured.

Wonder how many Bama played on average? I remember one week when both had similar blowouts at home and we had about 85 play compared to their 44.

Saban is so uptight he doesn’t trust young players to make mistakes for fear of looking weak.

Our conditioning and playing so many players through the entire season paid off at the end. We still had plenty in the tanks, and the other teams were running on fumes. Neither Pitt, ND, or Bama scored in the second halves of the 3 games. Some are just now coming around to just how smart Dabo really is.
