Alabama is clearly the team to beat

Sep 16, 2018, 7:05 PM

Question is, can we, with this team?

From a chemistry standpoint, right now, no. But I dont think we are playing anywhere near our best football yet. Coach Swinney has been working depth which means our peak will come later down the line than normal. I think it will pay off but we need to see everything going right to see how good we are and we haven't seen that yet. Bama however is rolling.. If we played today, they would win 41-24 or similar.

Because they beat some crappy teams by 50 points you think we can't beat them?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Now, see, you meant this as a troll poast

Sep 16, 2018, 7:09 PM

But what you poasted requires but one response.

Duh!

I have zero concern about making it to the SEC CG this year. I have a question though, OwensB. What mischaracterization of white people concerns you the most?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No, your coots would lose to them by...

Sep 16, 2018, 7:25 PM

at least 40 points. You might fare a little better than pathetic teams like Ole Miss or Arkansas, but you’d still gef crushed. Just like UGA did and just like we’re going to do you in November. To put it politely, you’re a cheap easy date for any team with talent and depth. So take heart - that means you can still win some games in the SEC east.

Yes, we can beat them, but we won't play the way we are playing right now.

I hope they win the West. I want them playing as many games as possible. No sweet deals like last year.

We looked rough at times early in the year that we won the Natty. That Troy game was a nightmare. We needed some luck to beat NCSU. But by the end of the season we were playing championship football. I think there's a good chance we will be there by the end of the year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

How do you know they are clearly the team to beat after just 3 games?

Sep 16, 2018, 8:13 PM

There is a team every year that tears it up early and loses a game or two as the season wears on, once their true colors are revealed. Remember Louisville a few years ago? Ohio State some years?

I agree that Alabama looks great so far, but it’s really early. They haven’t played anyone yet.

Let’s pu this into perspective. So far Bama ha beaten a Louisville team that just squeaked by W Kentucky and an Ole Miss team that got 41 points hung on them by N Illinois. Not saying they don’t look great but it’s still early. Of the top four right now I have to give Ohio St. the best win so far but we will be fine as we move through the season.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ole Miss wishes they gave up 41 to Northern Illinois.

Sep 16, 2018, 9:28 PM

N. Illinois is an FBS school with a lot of pride and tradition.

Ole Miss gave up 41 to Southern Illinois, an FCS school, that I didn’t even know had a football team. I just know Southern IL from having a basketball team that makes a run in March Madness every decade or so. It’s also the school of Paul Pabst from the Dan Patrick Show. That’s about it.

Agree. They do look good and their D has been impressive. Hard to hold any power 5 team to 7 points when you are scoring 50+. We will find out more Saturday. I think they are a great team but we have the talent to match them player for player and our DL can put Tua on the ground a few times.

If you dont think Alabama is the team to beat this season either

1. You are ignorant
2. You havent watched college football this season.

I think my Tigers Can do it just will take some breaks. And improvement in the defense in the secondary.

I have faith in Clemson.
