Got a quote from a contractor to turn the garage into a master bedroom and the laundry room into a bathroom. Guy quoted me 21K for the work. I'm not sure, but I think this dude is taking me for a ride.
And the bad part is, I've known this guy for a long time from when I worked at a hardware store through college.
Those of you more knowledgeable than I, does that sound right? I was thinking more around 15k turn key.

She wants to add a laundry room to the back. Problem is that's where the service pole and breaker box is. So all of that will have to be moved a rewired. Adding another 10-15k to the price

Hard to say without seeing the scope of the project.
FWIW - we re-did the kitchen last year. New cabinets, new appliances, granite counters. About $24K....

I plan on doing that along and along. Hardware, then new appliances, then counters and cabinet. I can do most of it myself except the countertops

By doing the cabinets, I mean putting moulding around
