Never understood the allure of Venice. Been there. There are no roads. Everywhere you need to go you have to take a boat. Gondola drivers wear Charlotte Hornets hats and speak perfect English. Place floods ALL the time. Sometimes bad like this. Flooded our hotel lobby when we were there. Just don't see it as romantic.
