I love how he hit the hole hard on that TD run.

McDowell seems hesitant at times.

Davidson looks like he has potential.

I think the players in college are so big/fast these days, the bigger, stronger & faster a RB is... the better. (even more so than ever before)

We've seen what having smaller/younger RBs can do when Clemson plays elite teams. Too many fumbles.

game. He gets to the line of scrimmage in a bolt and just keeps on chuggin from there. It's a lot more enjoyable to watch us snap the ball when he's in the backfield on those plays.

Mcdowell has good quickness, and I appreciate that he has worked hard to earn his position. (and I think he appreciates the opportunity more than some who have been recruited with more stars out of high school) Although I think Clemson might have been a more talented team had they signed Gurley, Marshall or even Mike Davis. I enjoy watching a guy like Mcdowell make the most of an opportunity, (a lot) but I think if "best is the standard", Clemson needs to have a RB with more size.

I agree. I think he has been really solid. McDowell has gotten it done but definitely doesn't hit the hole as hard as the rest of the guys. I really think Brooks is going to develop well, but Davidson runs hard and smart, makes good, quick cuts and gets north. I would love Howard to do well, but aside from the Auburn game his freshman year he has never impressed me.
