reaching .300??? I'll be shocked if either of them reach .200 (I KNOW Uggla hit about .185 last season)!! I laughed my rear end off at an article in the AJC last week detailing how Uggla had hit about .230 in pre-season and was hoping for an "offensive break-out" this year. Of course, if Diamond Dan DOES hit .230 this year, it'll be about a 50 point improvement over last....and if either of them were actually defensive geniuses at their respective positions, you might be able to make a bit of an argument for starting them, but both are about a notch above "serviceable" defensive players! They're probably keeping two talents in Gwinnett or Mississippi who deserve a shot.

whats so disturbing about these two is that they're making $20 million between them this season.

Uggla hit .270 in ST with 4 HR and 14 RBI. He was top 20 in both. The article you read doesn't know what it's talking about.

I think both can hit .250 though, which is fine for the NL

these days if they both hit more than 20 dingers.

To his credit, Uggla has hit the ball hard so far, at bats that were normally in the dirt to short or strike outs. I think he will improve with the new stance. BJ on the other hand will continue to stink. They should switch uggla and BJ in the order and Uggla will see better pitches and possibly improve even more. He can steal a few bases as well.
