If Adams is concerned about academics why would he choose Auburn?

Feb 4, 2013, 10:12 PM

I hear the rumor that he's going to Auburn but don't get it if he really cares about academics. Auburn has one of the lowest academic rankings in the SEC and is well below Clemson.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well if academics is a major concern for him, then Clemson..

Feb 4, 2013, 10:15 PM

would be at the top of his list.

These players aren't looking to be scholars most of the time

Feb 4, 2013, 10:18 PM

when they speak "academics" - it generally means they hit it off with an academic counselor, or their program of study has a good success rate at whatever school they are looking at - or they love the academic center at that school.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yes, yes Tymick1 we all know how academics work at SCU….

Feb 4, 2013, 10:28 PM

If it's not a degree in the medical field or a degree in international business, a degree from SCU is worth as much as a GED. You can get into SCU, and I'm talking about regular students, with a High School GPA of 2.0. SCU will accept any dunce to fill up their class quotas, in order to give the appearance of being a "Major University."

Academics, the wrong subject for any coot to speak on.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's silly

Feb 4, 2013, 10:32 PM

I'll ignore it and try to talk to people that want to discuss things rationally.

Re: Like you are rational.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm quite rational.

Feb 4, 2013, 10:50 PM

I don't buy into multiple conspiracy theories at one time- and I know that does make me irrational to most.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's that-a-way to FGF.***

That's just telling the truth….

Feb 5, 2013, 12:08 AM [ in reply to That's silly ]

I know people who got into SCU with GPA's that low.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I am sure you do

Feb 6, 2013, 10:02 AM

but reality is that South Carolina and Clemson's "SAT score" averages are very close- and we can all point to a some students here and there that don't deserve to be in almost every college.

I know students at Clemson who are there because of what their daddy does.

We all know deals like that.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"close"

Feb 6, 2013, 10:05 AM

Only a fifth place ring school would say that. List these students admitted to Clemson or you are just lying.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Kind of like how every single shamecock player loves...

their degree of choice, Hotel Management. Where professors change their grades, so they can remain academically eligible.

Tymick gets a point for DA post of the day***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He specifically mentioned academics and seems smart enough

Feb 4, 2013, 10:23 PM

To know the NFL doesn't last forever. Clemson has much higher graduation rates, freshman retention and smaller classes.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And Auburn is similar

Feb 4, 2013, 10:31 PM

But at least it's not located in a dump

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Auburn won a national title a few years ago

Feb 4, 2013, 10:33 PM

Folks on here talk like they are some team that is searching for their first win in 15 years.

Re: Auburn won a national title a few years ago

Feb 4, 2013, 11:08 PM

Give it a few years they will lose that National championship.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

WON?????????***

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

no need for correction- their name is in the book

Feb 6, 2013, 10:00 AM

just as Clemson's name is in the book for 1981.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Adams is being fed a triple dose of . . .

Feb 4, 2013, 10:34 PM

EJ, Gardner, and fried Cheesy sticks. Evidently it's quite tasty . . .

Re: If Adams is concerned about academics why would he choose Auburn?

Feb 4, 2013, 10:58 PM

Auburn is basically Clemson without a lake. Even has the same clock tower.

Auburn ranked #89 national university, #37 public
Clemson ranked #68 national, #25 public but has been higher

Architecture is pretty good, actually very good. Engineering is decent.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Auburn is flat, Clemson has plenty of hills***

Feb 5, 2013, 12:11 AM

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Thats why they choose the SEC...its much easier and they

Feb 6, 2013, 10:03 AM

can just focus on football

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Could Auburn be the new UNC***
