Well yeah, wasn't this clip from right when the fumble out of the endzone. I speak for all of us when I say we were a strong mix of distraught and shocked.

Leach was really fired because the boosters were kinda ready to get rid of him. He definitely took the program to another level but it was clear he was never gonna win conference championships. He was winning enough games that a considerable portion wanted to keep him. As soon as that whole concussion closet thing happened, boosters jumped on the chance to fire him and save the money. I'm a current ag, so I was young when that all happened and my memory may not be best, but I think Leach coached at Texas State.
