"McClatchy was accused of using a city computer on Sept. 14, 2013 to post details of the traffic stop on the Internet."

I really hope Dabo does not get stopped on 9/14/13

My recollection of this is that Dabo was indeed speeding. The cop pulled him over and told both Dabo and his brother who was with him to get back in their vehicle. They both ignored him. I do criticize Dabo for not following the cops order. I once was stopped, got out of the cat, cop told me to get back in and I immediately did. So, Dabo was at fault there. Now, it goes without saying that the cop was not very bright and "proud" of pulling Dabo over. Nevertheless, I would have hoped Dabo would have handled it better as far as following the cops instructions.

He dropped the lawsuit because he knows he has no case.

Posting details of the traffic stop on-line was not the reason he was fired. He was fired because that incident was the most recent in a long list of inappropriate conduct that violated Department policy the combination of which all lead to his termination.
