Lake Level at Clemson

Jul 16, 2013, 9:36 AM

With all the rain in SC, it must really be up! Is it at the highest level in its history? I'm interested to know from folks that live in the area.

I've heard highest in history

I've also heard highest since '64. Either way it's so high that boats can't go under most of the bridges and some really old trees have their entire trunks under water.

~28 feet higher then the drought of 2008

2nd highest all time. Lowest was 637.50. During last drought it was not 28' lower than it is now but was down 16' from full pool which is 660'. Yesterday it was at 664.40 or about 4.4' above full pool.

2 feet over full pond. Which is the first time since my family sold our lake house in 2007 that there has been any water in that lake.

Last night at 664.52 --4.52' above full pond

Jul 16, 2013, 11:08 AM

Been going all my life (1991) and it has never been this high. My grandfather bought his lot before they built the lake and said it was the highest its been in 50 years

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I remember 1964. It's about the same level as then. Our boat would not go under some of the bridges.***
