My head must have been in a cloud this year. I thought this was his first year. Is this his second year in the program? If he redshirted this year, why would he be playing? Are redshirting rules different in basketball than football? I know that in football they are considering let freshman play several game before declaring a redshirt. Is that already like that in basketball.

I believe that AJ enrolled last year after Christmas break...kind of like a midyear football recruit would except it was right in the middle of basketball season. He practiced with the team, but did not see game action. I think that is why they call it a redshirt for him.

Thanks ..... Now that makes sense. That just doesn't seem to happen much in basketball. Then again, they don't refer to mid-year football recruits as redshirt freshman.

redshirting to get adjusted to the college game. I think it was a good plan. He hit a slump mid-year this year, but I expect him to be our starting guard next year to replace DeVoe.
