ACC turning into the Big East....I see it talked about

Nov 21, 2012, 12:17 PM

constantly on here...the fear of it happening....It's ALREADY happened...

with the next addition obviously coming from the Big East you'll have...

ND, UConn, BC, Miami, VT, Pitt, Syracuse as former Big East members....7 total.

You're only going to have 6 founding members of the ACC left...Clemson, NC, NC State, Duke, Wake and UVA left.

GT and FSU weren't founding members.

The conference essentially is just a merger of the former Big East and ACC schools.

once again.....Notre Dame is NOT in the ACC nor will they be

Nov 21, 2012, 12:20 PM

Actually they are....

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

they are in every sport but football

Nov 21, 2012, 12:22 PM [ in reply to once again.....Notre Dame is NOT in the ACC nor will they be ]

they will be playing in basketball, baseball, and everything else. We were so desperate we gave them a deal we wouldn't give anyone else.

exactly.......they ARE NOT in the ACC***

yep........ND played him like a fiddle.....

Nov 21, 2012, 12:26 PM

he was dumb enough to take it.

Don't give credit to the ACC for getting ND to the conference when they couldn't get the ONLY part of Notre Dame that is worth getting

ND said here we'll give you this sliver of pie.......and put sprinkles on it.........we'll take the rest

as I said when that happened only the ACC was desperate enough to do that. Not the eith or the Bigs would have done that. Should have know something was up w the conference then

We'll be playing in the best basketball conference in

the country. What's not to like about that? I can't wait!

the Dukies concerned.

So in other words the ACC turned the Big East into what it

Nov 21, 2012, 1:47 PM

has become by taking most of their best teams while "so far" the ACC has had one defection. I'm still waiting for someone to explain from where else we were suppose to get teams.

Cool your jets...the Terps leaving was an act of...

Nov 21, 2012, 3:52 PM

...desparation by group of incompetent athletics administrators. What goes around, comes around. The Terps are going to get the same taste in their mouth for traveling all over the mid-west as the Mountaineers have trucking back and forth to Texas and Oklahoma.

Maybe...just maybe, the move will help them get their books back in the black, but there is no guarantee on this either. We'll see how long their vesting period is for their admittance, versus how much they end up paying for their exit fee, calculate out their revenue, and I would be surprised if their BREAK EVEN point is less than 8 years!

#### poor management. Yow spends millions building luxury boxes that don't sell. She bolts and the new AD is a moron. Fires Fridge the year he wins Coach of the Year. Brings in arguably the worst coach in D-1. They deserve to suck.
