I thought last year he should have gotten it. It was a really good job. It was a much less proven team than this year. this year which was a good job but the team was more experienced. You'd think the media influence from NC would be muted with a larger conf but it does not appear so

The ACC is hypocritical when it comes to picking Coach of the Year for football compared to Coach of the Year for basketball. In basketball they give it to the coaches that win regardless of talent level. In football they give it to coaches that win more than they should with the talent they have.
Danny Ford only won ACC COTY one time. Think about that.
They've given basketball COTY to Roy Williams twice even though he has a bench filled with McDonalds All Americans.

There are a LOT of teams in this country that would love to end the season ranked No 9 and 10.
I would say that's fairly "together".
Heck, there's a LOT of teams that would just like to end the season ranked, period.

If we win the conference this year n' NC State wins coach of the year for beating Duke by 37 I might send Swofford a very open-minded e-mail.

When did we join the ivy league?? This is ridiculous. If we finish anywhere near .500 this year I expect the basketball coach of the year award if our players have good grades.
