Twelve non-conference games make up the midweek slate for ACC teams, including 10 in-state matchups … ACC teams own a 69-26 (.726) record against non-league opponents thus far, including a 50-7 mark in home games … Florida State, NC State, North Carolina and Virginia Tech remain unbeaten in the early going … Six ACC teams remain ranked in multiple national polls, including four top 10 teams with North Carolina as high as No. 4 (Baseball America), Florida State No. 6 (Baseball America), Louisville No. 8 (USA Today Coaches) and NC State No. 10 (Collegiate Baseball).

Clemson freshman utility man Davis Sharpe, Louisville sophomore LHP Reid Detmers and North Carolina RHP Tyler Baum were named Collegiate Baseball National Players of the Week … Detmers was voted the ACC Pitcher of the Week after no-hitting Brown for seven innings and striking out 11 in last Friday’s start … Florida State freshman outfielder Robby Martin earned Player of the Week accolades after capping a big week at the plate with a combined 7-for-8 showing in Saturday’s doubleheader of Youngstown State … Martin drove in six runs with three extra-base hits in the first three innings of game one, including a two-run homer.

Three ACC teams posted wins over ranked opponents last weekend … Miami won 5-2 at No. 4 Florida in last Friday night’s series opener, while Georgia Tech clipped No. 3 UCLA, 5-4, on Kyle McCann’s walk-off homer … NC State won 7-6 at Coastal Carolina on Patrick Bailey’s 11th-inning home run … Two of the unbeaten Wolfpack’s wins last weekend came in extra innings, as NC State topped Kent State 3-2 in a neutral-site game at Myrtle Beach on Friday … North Carolina owns the country’s longest current home winning streak (25 games) … The Tar Heels’ last home loss came last March 25 against Florida State … In those 25 games UNC has outscored its opponents 194-73 ... Virginia Tech, which was 5-11 in one-run games last year, is 2-0 in such game so far this season and stands 6-0 overall – just the sixth time in school history a Tech team started the year with six straight wins and the first time since 1987.
