for cutting the cord[dish] (can't believe I'm saying that).
If DTV doesn't give me $50-60 off my bill when I call I'll be switching to YoutubeTV.
DTV (with discount) + Good enough internet for working from home = ~$110
YoutubeTV + fast internet = ~$100 (minus HGTV)

No live TV, so I missed Clemson vs. L'Ville and Daytona. Couldn't get local news/weather or Fox/CNN.
Personally, I didn't like it.

nights when there's nothing on that I want to watch, going through those apps to search for things is usually worth the time.
On that front, whoever develops a unified OTT TV guide is going to be rich. I've floated that idea past our Digital Strategy team, but I don't think we want to spend money on development without a clear path to insert advertising and right now OTT is the wild west in that respect.

I particularly like the Eye Candy channel

Intel is that Pluto is working to bring in more live channels, but chances are those that are available will come from more local/independent sources. Stirr TV probably has more juice in the industry to gain actual live channels going forward. Both are being watched pretty closely by the OTT advertising industry in terms of overall value with impressions/conversions. I'm hoping I get to go to the Adweek Conference in NYC this year and get a little better picture of where channels like these are going to fall on the streaming landscape.
