I would love as much as anyone to find something arrogant about Burrow that may hurt his performance against us and make him overconfident, but I don't think this is it.

If you add in a "we worked really hard and try to focus on just Clemson each week", this sounds like something Trevor would say after an ACC game.

In all honesty LSU treated Oklahoma like a middle of the road opponent, so the "we expected to do this" is probably his really nice way of saying that they knew the Oklahoma defense was horrible.

I can remember in 2012 talking to one of the Clemson offensive players after watching GA Tech and VA Tech play a really close defensive game to start the season. It looked like both defenses were strong that year after the early season game. He told me that both defenses were bad and that we would have no problem putting up points on them.

I just checked and we scored 37 on VA Tech and 48 on GA Tech.

The players know when they see good or bad teams on film. I'm sure LSU's offensive players knew they could do whatever they wanted against Oklahoma.
