A little Muschamp breakdown

I was curious about South Carolina's numbers because it seems like they typically beat teams below .500 and lose to teams above .500 under Muschamp.

Here's how it looks...

2016 6-7
1 win against teams finishing above .500 including FCS opponents
6 losses against teams finishing above .500

2017 9-4
5 win against teams finishing above .500 including FCS opponents (This actually surprised me a bit because during the season last year it didn't seem this way)
4 losses against teams finishing above .500

2018 4-3
1 win against teams currently above .500 including FCS opponents
3 losses against teams currently above .500

I may have miscalculated above since I did it manually. I would have liked to have looked at Bentley's performances in those wins compared to the losses to teams above .500 but I'm lazy.

So in 19 wins as head coach, Muschamp has only beaten 7 teams above .500 and that does include non-Power 5 teams. And of his 14 losses, 13 of those have come at the hands of teams better than .500.
