According to the BMI charts, a BMI of 30 or more is obese. Travis Etienne is 5'10" and weighs 210 for a BMI of 30.1. He is technically obese which is ridiculous. BMI charts are strictly based on height and weight an do not take into account body build, muscle tone, etc.

had to, I could run a mile in 8 minutes..maybe 7:30...But, according to BMI, I am obese. Dadgum chart says I should weigh 177 lbs. That is what I weighed in 1975 as a senior on the football team. Well 180 lbs. to be certain. And I was skinny as a rail...

Accurate body mass requires multiple measurements and those vary by sex. Simple Ht vs. Wt doesn’t cut it.

height divided by weight is how the CDC says to calculate BMI. I'm 6' and 189 lbs - the widget says I'm overweight. I wear 32" waist sized pants, but apparently I'm fat.

185, I run 8 to 9 miles per week (2.5 tp 3 miles per pop), and don't think I could get anywhere near 8 minutes.
If you don't do some of the 5K's, you should give it some thought. You would finish pretty well. I ran one this fall, not a huge one but pretty well attended. I finished in about 32 minutes. Of the 65+, there were 2 really fast guys way ahead of me, one about 30 seconds ahead, then 15 or so guys behind me. Was surprised, was thinking I would be middle of the pack in my age. I consider 10/mile to be plodding, but at my age that's about what I do.

age group,50-55 I think, with a 24.24.....but, I tore my meniscus about a year and half ago. I did not have surgery. They put me through physical therapy. I can run stadium steps now and have lately started running 150's fairly fast. Well, if you saw me, you would say slow...but, I am running pretty hard for me. I feel like I may be able to get back to jogging at some point, but it has taken so long to get to where I can at least run and work up a sweat that I am not going to try it until I certain I won't reinjure myself.....

Not sure why the ‘both sides’ argument matters. Trump is definitely obese. Those with more muscle mass can technically fit this profile...but I don’t think anyone will mistake Trump as having such a physique.
