Um.... take the top four teams?

Jun 19, 2012, 8:53 AM

Other then when and where they play, I don't see what there is to work out. Am I missing something? Other than politics?

not that easy

1. should a team be required to be a conference champ? Which conferences? (recall the ACQ's)
2. Can two teams from the same conference play?
3. Where should the games be held?
4. What will happen to the orange, sugar, fiesta, and rose bowls? do they keep their conference tie-ins?
5. What/Who decides the top 4? computers? AP? coaches?
6. How does ND and other Independents figure into things?
7. Who sponsors the games? Who gets the revenue?

all-out, just-like-every-other-freaking-NCAA-sport tournament. We can use the major bowls for the finals, use home field advantage for the other games and spread the wealth and make it easier for fans to attend. The rest of the bowls are a joke, and only really benefit the southern teams.

All this BCS talk and such is so stupid. It's trying to approximate playoffs while keeping the bowls. Truth be told, nobody really cares about the Your-Name-Here Bowl anymore. With the exception of just a few, there is no tradition. Yes, the players get all kinds of cool freebies from the _____ Bowl, but I would think most players would rather play a game that meant something than walk away with some gift cards and watches and stuff. But that's just me.

Agree with much of what you say

but if they say conference champ ranked in the top 8 must be in the playoff prior to a non conference champ..that actually is really God for he ACC IMO.

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

Sure, who picks who the top 4 are?***

That should be me.

I'd go for Clemson; then, I dunno, maybe Temple, Iowa State, Bowling Green, Akron or New Mexico etc... not that I'm a homer or anything.
