A Coot Excuse New To Me...

Nov 26, 2018, 4:10 PM

Have a Coot friend on FB (he hasn't posted anything football related in years) post today that we were using the 'tron to flash lights in the eyes of SCar players.

Seems ridiculous to me because if so, a simple complaint to the ref would have stopped it. Is there anything at all to this? Is this our version of the cowbells of Starkville?

The secret weapon is out. Clemson has developed flashing lights that affect coot players and not Clemson players.

So....we just flashed the lights on their defense...?

It was more like lights out with the Tiger O...

I’m honestly surprised your video board didn’t send Bentley into an epileptic shock.

I’m surprised that’s allowed but obviously it didn’t impact Bentley too much.

Classof09®,

If your qb had a seizure, it would not be because of the Clemson video boards. He acts as if he is on the brink of a hysterical mental breakdown most of the time already.

Why don't you just go back to your own kind? Do they ignore your silly comments over in the scar forums? Are you just another of the sad losers over there so you come to TigerNet to get your attention fix?

something that never appears in the same sentence with u5c athletics; especially on that Hitler Youth moderated FGF site.

Did you ask him why it only affected their "defense"

Nov 26, 2018, 4:43 PM

and no their offense (which should be affected more)?

Sounds like the ND rain excuse. It only rained on them.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Auburn did it to us. They likely do it to others also.

I recall our kicker looking up into the goalposts with "BLOCK THAT KICK" or some such flickering like a strobe light. Then THEIR kicker looked up into a nice, cool blue background with a steady AU logo. We didn't complain because we're not crybabies.

But SEC teams doing it is fine, dandy, defensible, appropriate, and even justified because

Georgia Tech has been doing it for years...

with that bright flashing strobe light scoreboard of theirs.
