Fuente is a great coach and great offensive mind and we all know how great of DC Foster is. Evans is back next year as well... VT is in great hands going forward and the ACC is certainly trending up with VT and UM on the rise with Clemson and FSU already elite.

Yep with Clemson breaking in a new QB it will be important to get them in a rhythm with some easy throws and hopefully the defense can hold Evans in check

Oh yeah completely agree. We have seen during the bowl season just how good the Acc is by how well they are stacking up to teams in other conferences

Yep, I also agree, Clemson and FSU has led the charge to the front on college FB bringing other ACC teams up behind us. Good by SEC big dogs, the ACC is bringing up their own big dogs that are ready and willing to fight your dogs for championships!!!

is going to have some real good teams aside from us and FSU. L'ville also had a pretty solid year too and I think they will stay around top 25 status as long as Petrino is there. With CU and FSU elite, UM and VT trending up and UNC and UL being around top 25 status, that is a strong conference.

- They only lose 2 starters on offense and 3 on Defense, and return all specialist. Further, they only lose 1 off the second string on both sides of the ball (a safety). Unless others declare early for the draft, this will be a veteran group.
- Year 2 in their system.
- At Lane Stadium.
I fully expect them to be a top 10 team next year. Bring it on though.

And we actually lose four on defense instead of three (we lose 3 on the DL alone). I actually expect us to take a step back.

We are going to have a pretty significant drop off next season. We're most likely going to lose our best playmakers (other than Evans). We also lose pretty much our entire DL. I see us as a 6-6 or 7-5 team next year.

I know you lose Ford and Hodges, but I certainly expect better than that. Fuente was impressive in his first season and I expect good things going forward for VT. The state of VA, especially the Tidewater area, is loaded with talent and I'm sure he will start keeping some of that talent in state and not allowing it to leave to FSU, Clemson, and tOSU. 7-5 seems way too low without looking at the VT schedule.

Especially at WR, where we had Ford, Hodges, Phillips and little else. Hodges is gone and while Ford is tinkering with coming back, he will go most likely. We will have almost no depth at DL next year and our back 7 is pretty average.
I expect a step back in year 2... and then we should be full speed ahead in year 3. Remember the name Josh Jackson. He is the QB of the future in Blacksburg. His father is Fred Jackson (was a longtime RBs coach at Michigan)

But I don't see that significant of a dropoff w Evans back. Also some very good young players in Diablo, Reynolds and Settle. With Phillips back and Evans, I think the O will be good enough to put up some points and Bud Foster will always have the D ready to play.

Hey ACC-act like a big time conference and not put the Clemson /va tech game on Thursday night. I can so easily see the ACC doing this game on Thursday night which would be a mistake. This is one of the marque games in the conference next year and they need to keep it on Saturday

Don't sell yourself short there vtfan. U had a good class in 2014. Had decent class last year and looking up for this year class.
Probably will be top 10 matchup. Can't forget about Miami next year either. ACC is rocking it.
