Death Valley was smaller then but we had a great crowd to open the season up. Surly we can put 80,000 in the seats for our opener this year!

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the Tulane game and a Saints game

against the Rams the next day. Tulane played a tough game defensively and stuffed us a lot. The Judge, Jeff Bryant, Kinard and the boys on D blasted their offense though and we squeaked a 13 to 5 win out I believe. I remember taking a Superdome tour on Friday, standing on the field on the astroturf and being dumbfounded at how huge it is.

I was there for both games also. I remember Hatcher hitting the scoreboard in warm ups, and I remember there were probably no more than a couple of thousand Tulane fans at the game. I have many great memories of that trip.

34 yrs. ago....unreal. Possibly the two teams with the most unique color combos in the Nation...orange and purple vs. olive green and powder blue...lol. That game and the UNC game where Jeff Bryant saved the world with the lateral recovery were the scariest games that year on the road to the NC. George Rogers was a Saint rookie that year. I was 13 yrs. old and have vivid memories of that trip.

Went to the game and had a couple of those huge adult beverages. Stayed in the hotel adjacent to the dome and ended up in a poker game with Bum Phillip fans that had driven in from Texas. Won enough money to pay for our trip after sobering up.
