As long as the campus WiFi is still up and I can play call of duty I'm ok! Comm class being cancelled would be nice too, since I have a test tomorrow...

i always place too much stock in getting snow when they actually call for it.
i'll believe it when i see it. everything will shut down if it happens anyways, so not much can be done on that note.
these folks just ain't used to it...it's not the mountains or NC, so it will be a calamity for sure in these parts.

that for clemson too?

i mean you really actually go east or west of I-85 since it runs North/South.
but I guess geographically or topographically speaking there's a norther elevation ;)

sooo...anyhow, snow in the higher western regions?
sucks for logging :-/

Clemson isn't expected to get as much as Greenville

but snowfall in the three to four inch range is a real possibility.

85 runs southwest to northeast, so there are definitely locations that are north/south of it.

ahhh...BUT technically ALL Interstates run & are designated

Feb 10, 2014, 7:36 PM

as N/S or E/W....they were designed that way by the military.

that much is indisputable, unless you can show me a road sign saying I-"blank" North-East or South-West...I've never seen it...

but I get what you mean there ;)

I personally find it disturbing sometimes when the vehicle compass says i'm going "west" on a highway or interstate designated as North & South.
BUT not all roads are straight...kinda like not all football players or athletes are, LOL!!!

darn geographic barriers!

Routes with odd numbers run north-south.
Routes with even numbers run east-west.
For north-south routes, the lowest numbers are in the west.
For east-west routes, the lowest numbers are in the south.

I-285 is a circular loop around Atlanta

the 3-digit interstates are obviously the exception.

@ US-highways.com:

US 1 to US 830 U.S. Highways : From US 1 to (US 830): The current complete United States highway list in sequential order, with their termini. All US highways past and present are listed here, with their length in miles and (historical maximum extent), if different from current length. Each road is linked to its location in the North-South or East-West page. Click here for a text only version of this page.

Odd highways North-South U.S. Highways: The odd numbered highways from US 1 on the Atlantic coast to US 101 on the Pacific coast, with branches listed in order, both past and present, with states the roads pass or passed though (with links to other sites), the roads that replaced it, and other notes, such as years of commissioning and decommissioning and major extensions and truncations. Each road is hyper linked to its location on the sequential page. This is the page with the recently extended US 425, the truncated US 65, and the oddly numbered US 17-1, which ran from Petersburg, Virginia to Wilmington, North Carolina.

Even highways East-West U.S. Highways: The even numbered highways from US 2 along the Canadian border to US 98 along the Gulf of Mexico (and US 400), with branches listed in order, both past and present, with states the roads pass or passed though (with links to other sites), the roads that replaced it, and other notes, such as years of commissioning and decommissioning and major extensions and truncations. Each road is hyper linked to its location on the sequential page. This is the page with both US 20's, Old Route 66 and the "Loneliest Road in America" - US 50.

To only get a dusting from the system that moved in from the NW. The big storm has us in the 6-10" zone, as well. I have a 250' long driveway that drops 50' in elevation for a 20% grade. Will make for some great sledding!
