The Slurrier 80' Ego Banner

Doesn't the banner say something like-
"The Winningest Coach in Gamecock History"?
But what is that really saying?
Who won anything before Slurrier?

Winning five in a row against Clemson absolutely is.....

his most and pretty much only real noteworthy accomplishment.
No conference championships and no BCS bowl appearances.
Hardly what the Jock Straps envisioned when they hired the old self-serving a$$hat.

And that's what the coot fans don't get

In-state, 5 in a row hurt us because we were so used to dominating the rivalry. But on a national scene, it didn't really mean much because they accomplished nothing else. For us, we took that game for granted for a number of years, as we were used to winning. We gave the coot fans grief all year about it, but we were also disappointed at a lack of championships. TB owned the coots but was fired because he couldn't get over the hump and win the ACC. Coot fans however worship Spurrier even though all he did was beat us 5 times in a row. And yet they wonder why their program is a joke.

Give the old ball coach some credit. He is doing remarkable considering where he is. What do you really expect him to be able to do at Coot U?

Why do they hire coaches who spit a lot. The media have pull offs on the cameras and a diaper on the mic!
Lou & Slurier both on their last shot at coaching a team. They both made good money because they claim their championships before they got there. Nobody told them when they leave those go with them. The coach in 1969 was the best they ever had.
It's pathetic because after last year and this year he's going to be embarrassed to have the banner up and he'll have to get more guys fired at the paper when they ask is he drinking to much or what his plan was for winning. The fits and alcohol will be at new levels this year.
I heard the made a spare banner with the Women's Basketball coach on it just in case they lose their coach to a difficult question.

I was born in the summer of 1969 , so I don't know who that years coach is without researching it . In my lifetime through this rivalry , Joe Morrison was the best coach for the Dirtpeckers . I think a lot of us respected what he did down there in the short time he coached them . Spurrier is an arrogant , unlikable jerk . Holtz was just so full of it .
