38 yds at half-time .. yet 2 shots to win game in regulation

The work put in all Spring and Summer by Offense was not evident in Game 1. This was not the same efficient machine we witnessed against Bammer last year. Our flat, conservative and rusty Offense (largely excepting Mike Williams) let Auburn stay in the game. So credit to Auburn Defense as due.

But no-kidding hats off to BV and monster performance by D especially Dex, Christian and Carlos who were cutting nuts for four quarters! Our Offense met more resistance than their press clippings would have suggested - perhaps Clemson Offense read too many of them. Auburn D was more physical than our flat O in the trenches. And the much more talented Clemson team won by six points against a great home field environment even surviving two hail mary's.

Best analysis I have read to date by T-Net "Phrogs" post stated we were able to go up against and overcome the home field environment we will experience again at FSU in a few weeks. Great point.

So great escape and now time to get back to work. Go Tigers!

DW didn't have that drive last night almost like he thought it was going to be easy.
It was the first game and I bet the whole O will get a fire lit in them this week.

to allow our team to get game experience, They say the most improvement takes place between the first and second games. That being said, I am not worried one iota about this team. There will be other close games, but I have the confidence that this team will take care of business.
