A kid on my sons 11-12 team is currently 18-22

From the line for the yr and was 6-6 last night. He is the exception of course but for scholarship athletes not to shoot at least 65% is hard to comprehend. There was a time not long ago that 65 would not be acceptable

the way you get good at free throws is by practicing them, every day, from the time you are roughly six. Do you see many college players today who give the appearance of having shot hundreds of thousands of practice free throws? There just aren't any Larry Birds or Michael Jordans around anymore.
