to Brad Scott’s house in the middle of the night...
The Scott’s awoke to 2 large tiger paws on the driveway and orange spray paint around the yard. The pic in the newspaper showed Jeff out cleaning it up.

I was apart of that group, as well. We were given a stretch of I-26 to paint tiger paws in the middle of the night... until a trucker called the po po on us. Luckily, po po let us go 
Great memories!!

We're talking about the same event, but you're correct, you weren't caught but we were.
As I recall, we met a large group in Cedarwoods. Somebody had created many tiger paw stencils out of vinyl flooring and had tons of orange spray paint. There were groups of 4-5 people given various stretches of the route from Clemson to Brad's house (maybe 10-15 miles per group?). Each group painted as many paws as possible. We covered route from last rest area on I-26 to rest area on I-385.
I've lost numerous brain cells during and since my time at Clemson so I guess it could have been 1994?

Painting the paws every mile on I-26 was a very long time ago, maybe in the late 70's or early 80's. I think I-385 was still US 276.
