The spring and summer practices this year will be a most important time. On offense the line will have to be totally rebuilt except for Carman. There certainly are skilled players in place starting with Lawrence and that is a great place to start but the o line work will be crucial.

On defense, the job is also huge because 4 of 5 starters at linebacker and safety will be gone. Coach V did an amazing job last year in replacing the interior line and has some experienced reserves at the positions we have losses. Another master job is needed.

Most teams have to deal with graduation, transfer and early exits to the NFL and that is why recruiting is so important. If you take possible NFL defections, we might lose half the starters so thank goodness we have great coaches and great recruiters. The spring will be huge.

Good news is we have some freshman coming in that can flat out play. May take a few games to get adjusted but the future is very bright.

Myles Murphy and Bresee will be pushing hard for playing time. Could see Capehart maybe cracking the DT rotation.

Look forward to the young DBs we already have and will have coming in.
