Not just a five-peat at stake, we can achieve 70 wins over S.C. and a 38 game advantage in the series...it would take them 38 consecutive years just to tie the series assuming we didn’t win at all during that span. That’s ownership.

The problem is that we have to win multiple games for every game they win. If we win next year, our five in a row doesn't erase their streak. We'd need to win 12-13 in a row to erase their five game streak.

It's hard to beat a team 13/14 games. Just imagine how hard that would be if the Gamecocks were one of the elite teams in college football... not that an elite program would ever lose 13/14 to their rival. I mean, maybe if that program was a former elite team that won all their legitimate titles pre-1950, you know, like.... Army?
