2016 or 2017 Natty?

Which is it? I see different posts.
I think its 2016. How is it gonna be listed in the record books
for the season we won it or the date we won it?

Clemson actually won the '82 Orange Bowl when they became 1981 National Champions.

Funny I had a guy come up and tell me and his wife he loved my natty t-shirt but he wished it said 2017. He said there were shirts that said 2017 on them but I have not seen them myself. The jersey's the players wore during the game had 2017 on them. I told him we were the 2016 champions.
