2016 Recruiting

Oct 6, 2014, 1:00 PM

I may be wrong on this but it seems that outside Tavien Feaster and Zerrick Cooper (with an outside shot at Mecole Hardman), we aren't really in with a lot of top 2016 prospects the way we have been with the 2014 and 2015 classes. It seems we are pursuing a lot more guys in the 200-300 range as opposed to the 1-125 like we have gotten from the prior two cycles. Am I missing anything big on that front, and are there any other big names I should be keeping an eye on?

No you aren't missing anything

We are toast. Everyone knows that only the top ranked recruits ever do anything on the football field. IMO we should drop football altogether after next season.

Why wait until after next season...we should announce it immediately after the Clemson-Carolina game.

It's early, and if there is one thing Dabo and crew do, its recruit! We will be just fine!

we are in with plenty of receivers/ some defensive lineman, linebackers, and OL... Sean Pollard, Julian Rochester, Bryan Edwards, Tre Lamar, to name a few.

little more National flavor whereas it is generally front loaded with Southeastern talent. I'm sure that political correctness nor god forbid....Capitalism has anything to do with this. I'll trust our coaches to evaluate our own talent...plenty of it ripe for the picking in SC, NC, VA, GA, and FLA.

Our coaches knew what they were doing when they got Chad

Smith...trust their evaluations. They've done pretty well so far

Last time I checked Jarrett and Beasley wasn't highly rated and look at them now...2 studs...half our DL didn't seem to be highly rated and they may be the best in the game. Coach reed, coach V, and Hobby can coach and evaluate talent. I trust them 100%

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Many recruits who haven't camped aren't rated yet.

Have a look. Just cause they haven't made it mainstream yet does not mean they aren't good. Several tremendous athletes haven't been rated and have very little film out there. Yet...

Another that comes to mind is TJ Green....look how fast

Allbarn was drooling all over him after Clemson made the first offer deep into recruiting season...
