2014 Honda CRV fire update
Nov 24, 2014, 11:21 AM
|
|
Honda National guys said that "Honda does not make cars with defects". He said pictures (never say the car) show that there were allot of leaves stuck up under the plastic covering they put under the vehicle. Said me or cuvawife drove over a bag of leaves and that caused the leaves to accumulate in the undercarriage. In other words, it's not our (Honda's) fault sucker, you now have to deal with your insurance company.

No way a bag of leaves gets caught under this baby when your wife drives over one, as quite obviously she is prone to do.

"drove over a bag of leaves"
Nov 24, 2014, 11:47 AM

is this his opinion? was there a garbage bag of leaves stuffed up there?
ask him if that is Honda Legal's "opinion" of the situation and if so, can you get it in writing.

His opinion. I've asked for a written report. Also for photos, but they said the photos were property of Honda, I said, that's funny I own a Honda

Right up until Honda America gets a subpoena from the insurance company.
Honda also claimed the defect in the manual transmissions for mid-2000's Civics that would keep it from going into reverse wasn't a defect.
"Sometimes you have to let the car roll a little to get the gears lined up. Or just jiggle the shifter, but otherwise not anything Honda can fix."
The car acted like the late 60's MGB that was still on its original transmission that we had when I was a kid in the 80's. That was the answer they gave my dad. "Just jiggle the shifter."

Just one question:

Is that covered under state license, or do you need a federal stamp?
