2014 "Commitments"

May 21, 2013, 3:22 PM

It gets me how excited people are getting on here about our 2014 football "commitments." You would think we learned it well enough last year when we thought RN was a commitment only for him to actually sign with Ole Miss.

Nobody's a commitments until next February when they fax back to our AD their signed LOI.

us until it's done. The bad experience with RN last year reminded us of that.

Of course I want these guys to sign with us and I'm glad they've chosen us verbally - just hope they stick to their verbal commitments.

and there are several recruits that reportedly think playing with Watson would be advantageous for them. This isn't in any way similar to Nkemdiche.

with RN and D Wat.

1st of all, I do believe RN did in fact WANT to be a Tiger. His MOTHER had other plans and thus...he is now a Rebel.

DW is indeed a Tiger, and WANTS to be at Clemson, and his Mother supports his decision.

This is a done deal and everyone needs to stop panicking.

GO TIGERS!!!

Recruiting is a little like sport fishing off of Hatteras ...

May 21, 2013, 6:15 PM

I went out on a boat that focused on the fish that were plentiful ... the other boat decided to go after Marlin and Sailfish.

We caught a ton of Mahi Mahi while the other boat came home empty.

I do believe they had a nice Sailfish on the line for quite a while though before he got off. Said it was a ball fighting for him, but in the end they had nothing to show for the effort.

With our catch, we had a huge fish fry and everyone had a great time!!
